 This is one of the Eureka Pirate Ladies line. She was chosen by my wife to portray her character Rachel Caldwell in the Freeport campaign. Rachel is the daughter of two notorious pirates and a dangerous fighter in her own right.
This was one of the first crossbow conversions I did on the Eureka minis. Though I didn't get any cannon crew, I did receive several pistol packing pirates that I had to deal with, since I don't use gunpowder in my campaign. As it turns out, The tabs on the bottom of these minis were all a little too long for the bases they were shipped with, so I had to snip off about 1/16" from the bottom of each one. I now had a ready supply of raw material from which to carve bows. Adding piano wire for bowstrings and quarrels, the pistols ended up being passable crossbows. |
